Why is the shop named "elRayo
Guitarworks"? |

elRayo Guitarworks is based upon a nickname for Tom Hagan's father,
Ray Hagan, jazz and studio drummer for Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra
and many more. You can read more about Ray here. |
How long has the shop been open? |
elRayo Guitarworks opened in December of 2004, and
continues to grow to this day. |
What are the hours of the business? |
elRayo Guitarworks is open from 10am until 7pm, Tuesday
through Fridays, and from 11am until 5pm on Saturdays. We are closed
on Sundays and Mondays. |
How do I get there? |
elRayo Guitarworks is located in the Living Arts
building at the corner of Adams ave. and Ohio st. in the Normal
Heights neighborhood of San Diego. You can get specific directions

Where is there parking? |
There is metered parking in front of the store on
Adams ave., and free parking along Ohio st. You can get more details
here. |
Do you repair amplifiers or effects? |
At this time we do not repair or modify amplifiers
or effects. You can email
us for repairmen we suggest. |
Can I make a reservation to have
a setup performed on my guitar or bass? |
Due to the complicated nature of some repairs, we
cannot reserve time slots for repairs. We suggest you bring in your
instrument when you are ready to have setup work or any other repairs
performed. |
Do you custom build guitars? |
We can assemble any guitar or bass you can dream
of of manufacturers, using parts from a variety. At this time, we
do not offer custom built bodies, necks, or neck-through instruments.
